Inventory Management

Managing your company’s inventory levels is a critical part of cost savings and equipment uptime.  Without the proper inventory parts on hand, equipment can be down for unacceptable periods of time.  Inventory management allows you to track high volume parts or high dollar parts so the current state is always known.

Web Work allows you to manage your inventory using multiple storerooms that can be in different physical locations, unlimited locations within storerooms, parts in multiple storerooms, and equipment spare parts lists.  Using these tools and the built-in reports, you will always know the current state of your inventory, including costs.

You can use the built-in Purchasing and Receiving modules, or have Web Work Interface with your current in-house purchasing system if you are using one already.  For those parts that are not kept on hand, all vendor and ordering information can be kept in Web Work for quick and easy reference should those parts be needed.

With Inventory Management, you are able to:

  • Track stock levels and order when minimum levels are reached
  • Know the cost of material kept on hand
  • Have multiple vendors for the same part so there is always a ready supply
  • Track parts to specific equipment
  • Know which storeroom has the parts and how many are on hand
  • Perform inter-storeroom transfers
  • Assign material checkout to Equipment, Work Orders, or even an Employee
