Inventory Module

Web Work is equipped with a powerful Inventory & Storeroom, Purchasing and Receiving system. These three modules are fully integrated and provide the user with unparallel flexibility and functionality.

The inventory module provides for maintaining a parts inventory through unlimited storerooms in multiple locations. Items are stocked in inventory and have full vendor purchasing details and histories associated with them. Re-order points are established and parts may be ordered via Min/Max or EOQ. Aisle, Row and Bin locators are easily accessible enabling count and part requisitions to flow smoothly.

Click for larger image. Part categories and statuses (i.e. on-order or reserve) are easily tracked and displayed. Audit trails and vendor information provide the inventory personnel with detailed information to make informed decisions.

Each item has Last, Average and Quoted price, vendor and manufacturer part number, can also be assigned an organization’s internal part number and have full internal accounting information attached.

Items can be issued/returned to work orders, equipment, location or accounts and tracked by who they were picked up by or delivered to.

As with other modules, inventory items have an unlimited specification or data sheets attached to them to allow the user to further define or describe the item. The “where used” function allows the user to search all equipment and locations throughout your operation to find any similar item and its operating location/equipment.

The optional Palm modules provide efficiency and will virtually eliminate errors. The Palm module equipped with bar code units (Symbol STP1500/1700 or Visor Handspring) provide an effective and efficient method for issues, returns and physical counts using the bar code to scan and track item movements.

Web Work Inventory includes:

  • Unlimited items and categories
  • Utilize multiple vendors
  • Track each vendor part number and cost
  • Utilize min/max or EOQ reorder methods
  • Assign items to unlimited storerooms
  • Track current, average and last costs
  • Utilize FIFO, expiry dates and lot numbers
  • Issue items to WO’s, accounts and labor
  • Create detailed usage and vendor reports
  • Complete Palm bar coding functions

The Web Work inventory module also allows you to track average or last costs on item issues as well as full lot number support for dated or items with shelf lives. MSDS Sheets can be attached using the “links” feature as well as providing direct connections to vendor web sites for purchasing and stock checks.

You can also give vendors “read-only” access to your Inventory to monitor stock levels and provide added services such as consignment stock.
